Site Security
SSL and Data Encryption
Tradeself.com utilizes 128-bit encryption to safeguard against a third
party intercepting data while it is being exchanged through the
Internet. This protection is provided by the use of Secure Sockets Layer
(SSL). SSL is an encryption technology that provides secure
communications over the Internet. It does this by verifying that the
server to which you are connected is actually the one it claims to be.
It also encrypts all transactions between the parties communicating. You
need a browser that supports SSL.
When you begin our checkout process, or member pages, you will probably
notice that the padlock icon then appears. (Where it appears is
dependent on which browser and version you are using). This icon lets
you know that you have entered a secured section of our website. You may
find yourself jumping back and forth from the secure area to the
un-secure area. Rest assured that all sensitive information remains
completely secure.
Tradeself does not store or access your credit card numbers, paypal
account or bank information.
Paypal Security
PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit
from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL)
with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level
commercially available). Before you even register or log in to our site,
our server checks that you're using an approved browser - one that uses
SSL 3.0 or higher. Once your information reaches to Paypal, it resides
on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically.
Paypal servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly
connected to the internet, so your private information is available only
to authorized computers.
